CIT Institute of Technology
The workforce and employment platform: technical instruction, work-based learning, employer relationships, and career advancement.
Train • Employ • AdvanceCIT Institute of Technology connects hands-on technical education with AI-powered learning, robotics, and pathways to employment—preparing people for the systems that power modern buildings, industry, and data centers.
Explore the research-lab environment and the technology-driven work that inspires CIT’s approach to learning, robotics, and advanced infrastructure.
CIT, AI City Robotics, and Queriosity have distinct roles that work together to help learners build skills, demonstrate competence, and move toward sustainable careers.
The workforce and employment platform: technical instruction, work-based learning, employer relationships, and career advancement.
Train • Employ • AdvanceThe technology and innovation engine: robotics applications, automation concepts, applied demonstrations, and intelligent infrastructure projects.
Build • Test • InnovateThe intelligent learning companion: AI-guided explanations, scenario-based practice, knowledge checks, and personalized learning support.
Learn • Practice • ImproveTechnology is not a substitute for trade mastery. It is an additional tool that helps learners prepare, practice, and understand how modern infrastructure systems operate.
Use applied robotics and automation demonstrations to introduce technologies increasingly found in commercial buildings, industrial sites, and data-center environments.
Use an AI learning companion to reinforce instruction and create guided practice before learners work on live equipment or in supervised work environments.
Practical HVAC systems training supports the skilled workforce needed for modern commercial buildings, critical infrastructure, and data-center environments.
The initial focus is on practical technical foundations, with AI and robotics applications integrated where they support job readiness and employer needs.
Equipment fundamentals, refrigeration principles, diagnostics, safe service practices, and cooling-system reliability.
Electrical fundamentals, safety, system components, measurement, and supervised troubleshooting.
Sensors, controls, monitoring, system status, and how building systems communicate.
Cooling, uptime awareness, preventive maintenance, monitoring, and infrastructure support practices.
Applied projects connect technical concepts to real systems. Projects should use appropriate equipment, instructor oversight, and safety procedures.
Use sample sensor readings to recognize abnormal temperatures, review alerts, and document a maintenance concern.
Work through a simulated cooling issue, gather evidence, and explain a safe troubleshooting sequence.
Explore how automated inspection workflows can support observation, reporting, and human decision-making.
Use guided prompts to explain a fault, compare possible causes, and check understanding before practical work.
Learn how sensors and control logic help monitor equipment and identify conditions that need attention.
Practice documentation, communication, safety awareness, and explaining work performed to a supervisor.
CIT operates on a professional-services model inspired by the talent-and-client-engagement structure used by firms such as KPMG and Ernst & Young (EY)—adapted for technical workforce development, commercial infrastructure, and emerging technology.
CIT recruits and develops qualified talent, then hires eligible graduates directly into employment roles based on credentials, demonstrated skills, safety readiness, and client requirements.
CIT as employerCIT contracts with employers and organizations to deliver technical capacity and project support. CIT employees may be assigned to client sites or engagements with defined responsibilities, supervision, and performance expectations.
Client-focused deliveryCIT’s model is designed to support ongoing development, quality oversight, retention, and career progression—not simply make a referral and walk away. Over time, employees can build toward advanced roles, team leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Long-term career growthCIT’s model is built around direct employment: we aim to hire qualified graduates as CIT employees and deploy them to client engagements, then support supervised work, retention, and long-term advancement. This is an employment-and-service-delivery model—not simply a training course or job-referral service.

CIT’s mission began in the Hoboken Housing Authority with a bold vision: helping people move from government assistance toward economic independence within two years.
The initiative was rooted in a fundamental belief: people should have access to the education, practical skills, and employment opportunities necessary to build independent and financially secure lives. Rather than treating public assistance as the destination, the vision was to create a pathway toward self-sufficiency through opportunity, training, and work.
That founding vision continues to shape CIT Institute of Technology today.
Over time, CIT’s mission has expanded alongside the changing economy. What began with a focus on economic independence and opportunity has evolved to encompass technology education, software development, artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced infrastructure workforce development.
Through initiatives such as AI City Robotics, Queriosity, and the CIT Advanced Infrastructure Workforce Initiative, CIT continues to pursue the same underlying objective: using education, technology, and employment to expand opportunity and help people build lasting economic independence.
CIT’s founding vision focused on helping people receiving public assistance move toward economic independence within two years through education, skills development, and employment.
CIT expanded its technology focus to include software engineering, Python, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies that create pathways to skilled careers.
CIT grew its technology vision to include artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and the Queriosity learning model.
CIT builds on its technology foundation with training and employment pathways connected to commercial HVAC, electrical systems, building automation, and data-center infrastructure.
CIT welcomes conversations with employers and partners interested in direct-hire talent, technical service engagements, workforce development, and technology-enabled infrastructure solutions.
